Frequently asked questions
When do I take the exam?
After you've completed the course materials you'll get instructions for the Certified ScrumMaster exam. It's online, on-demand and runs in your browser, and you have 90 days to pass it.
Take it at the end of class on the last day. That's a strong recommendation, not a rule: the material is fresh, you're already in the headspace, and you leave certified instead of adding it to a list of things to get round to.
Is the exam fee included in the class price?
Yes. Registration covers the exam and certification fees, and includes a free retake if you don't pass first time. CSM Premium adds unlimited retakes and 1-on-1 exam tutoring.
Do I need prior experience, or any pre-requisites?
No, and no. We start from the basics, so Scrum, Agile and tech can all be brand new to you. Most classes have a mix of experience levels, which is part of what makes them work.
After you sign up we'll send a couple of short pre-class readings. They're not long, and they make the class go a lot further.
What will I actually learn?
You'll run the Scrum events yourself: sprint planning, sprint review, the retrospective and the daily scrum. Then the parts nobody puts on a slide, like how a team gets to self-managing, where work actually stalls, and what you do about it when it does.
It's built around practice rather than terminology. You leave able to facilitate the events, not just define them.
What's the difference between Premium and Pro?
Premium is everything you need to pass the exam and step into the role: unlimited retakes, 1-on-1 exam tutoring, an AI-built resume and LinkedIn bio, practice tests, and the PM-to-ScrumMaster transition guide.

Who is this class for?
Anyone who works near a delivery team. Classes usually mix ScrumMasters, product owners, project managers, business analysts, testers, team leads and people moving into the field from somewhere else.
No prior experience is needed, and none is assumed. The mix of backgrounds is part of what makes a live group training work.
What credentials do I earn?
The Certified ScrumMaster certification once you pass the exam, plus a 2-year Scrum Alliance membership.
You also earn 16 PMI PDUs, 16 Scrum Alliance SEUs and 16 IIBA CEUs. An email after class explains how to claim each one.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes to both, and there are no fees either way. Transfer to a different date whenever you need to, or cancel before class starts for a full refund.
What do I need to join?
A solid internet connection, a computer, a microphone (built-in is fine) and a webcam. Zoom runs in any modern browser, though the app works better. If your computer has no webcam, join the video on your phone and use the computer for the collaboration tools.
Is it really live, or a recording?
Live, on Zoom, with Giora in the room the whole time. Nothing is pre-recorded and there is no self-paced module to grind through.
You will spend a good part of each day in breakout rooms working in small groups. That is the reason the class is capped at 15: everyone has to be able to take part.
